Most CPAP machines have their ways of telling you yourAHI readingsat each night.AHI measures the effectiveness of CPAP therapy.The lower the score;the better you slept.AHI below 5,indicates a healthy sleep.AHI from 5-15,indicates mild OSA.AHI from 15-30,indicates moderate OSA.AHI above 30,indicates severe OSA.Lower AHI readings often correlate to a reduction of Sleep Apnea symptoms and will make you feel better.If your AHI readings look good,it’s a sign that your therapy is working.If your AHI numbers are not so good,you may need to make some changes to your routine.
CPAP therapy can have a cumulative effect for some people,and it may take a while for you to notice the benefits–even if your treatment is working.
